St. Cloud Rox News Release
St. Cloud, MN - The St. Cloud Rox kicked off a three-game homestand and played the first of six home games in seven days on Tuesday night.
The Rox ultimately fell to the Duluth Huskies 11-2 in front of the hometown crowd on a picture perfect summer evening at the Rock Pile.
St. Cloud got on the board in the fourth inning, thanks to a pair RBI's from Bobby Seymour (Wake Forest) and Landon Stephens (Miami-Ohio). Ryland Kerr (Eastern Kentucky) finished 2-for-4 with one run scored and Stephens finished 1-for-4 with one RBI to lead the Rox.
St. Cloud looks to bounce back on Wednesday night, hosting the La Crosse Loggers in the first game of a two-game series. The game, which is scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m., will be Championship Poster Schedule Giveaway Night presented by McDonald's Meats. The first 1,500 fans through the gates of the Rock Pile will get a poster commemorating St. Cloud's 2017 Northwoods League championship.
The Rox will wrap up the three-game homestand at 7:05 p.m. Thursday night, once again against the Loggers. That game will feature America's Ballpark Prankster BirdZerk presented by Brandl Motors.
The Rox are in their seventh season of Northwoods League Baseball in 2018. Single game and group tickets for the entire season are on sale now.
