
Rox Home Playoff Games Start Tonight

BROCKTON - The Rox return home tonight to play Game 3 against the New Haven County Cutters with the first round playoff series tied at 1-1. On Friday night at Yale Field, RHP John Kelly delivered a masterpiece for the Rox in a 2-1 victory over the New Haven County Cutters. Kelly threw a complete game, four-hit gem, in which he allowed just one run and struck out seven. With this victory, the Rox are guaranteed to play Game 4 at Campanelli Stadium on Saturday, September 8th at 7:05 PM. If the two teams spilt the next two games, they will face off in a decisive Game 5 on Sunday, September 10th at 5:05PM at Campanelli Stadium.
Tonight the Rox will send RHP Rolando Viera (9-7, 2.65 ERA) to make the start against RHP Courtney Hall (5-4, 3.61 ERA) for the Cutters. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05PM.
In other playoff action, first seeded North Shore and fourth seeded Quebec have also split their first two games and will face off in Quebec tonight at 7:05PM.
