
Rox Fall, Will Return Home to the Rock Pile Wednesday

St. Cloud, MN - The 2017 Northwoods League Champions St. Cloud Rox were back in action at the Rock Pile on Tuesday night, facing the La Crosse Loggers while riding a four-game winning streak.
The Rox ultimately fell short to the Loggers 7-3 to wrap up a two-game series with La Crosse.
St. Cloud kicked things off in the bottom of the second inning, tallying two runs in the inning thanks to three doubles. The Rox grabbed one more run in the bottom of the third inning to hold a 3-1 lead for a majority of the first half of the game. La Crosse ended up taking the lead in the eighth inning, as St. Cloud wasn't able to complete a late-game comeback.
Noah Hill (BYU) went 1-for-3 with one RBI and Bobby Seymour (Wake Forest) finished 2-for-4 with one run scored to lead the Rox at the plate. Ryan Weisenberg (Georgetown), Landon Stephens (Miami-Ohio) and Jack Barrie (Reinhardt) each added one hit a piece.
Zach Lauzon (Concordia-St. Paul) got the start on the mound for St. Cloud, pitching the first 6.2 innings. Erik Martinez (California-Berkeley) threw one inning in relief, while Landon Clifton (LSU Eunice) threw the final 1.1 innings to finish the game.
St. Cloud (13-11 second half, 29-31 overall) will take on the Mankato MoonDogs in a doubleheader on Wednesday, finishing up the home-and-home doubleheader at the Rock Pile. Game 1 in Mankato will begin at 12:05 p.m., with Game 2 being played back in St. Cloud at 7:05 p.m. The game will be Polka Night presented by 1150 KASM, with a pre-game Polka Band performing at 5:45 p.m. To get tickets to the game, click here.
