Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. - The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (27-32, 12-12 2nd half) dropped the final game of the season series to the Rockford Rivets (26-33, 8-17 2nd half) 6-4. The Rafters held a two-run lead entering the bottom of the eighth 4-2. The Rivets scored four runs to take a lead and held on in the ninth.

Once again, Wisconsin Rapids started the scoring in the first as Ethan Stringer (Louisville) scored on a groundout. The Rafters scored again in the second with an RBI single from Victor Carlino (Long Beach State). The cranberry and gold made it 4-0 in the fourth with a two-run single from Ethan Stringer.

The Rivets began their comeback in the fifth scoring on back-to-back RBI base hits. Rockford scored four runs in the eighth on one hit to take on 6-4 lead as five walks were issued in the frame by the Rafters, three of them were with the bases loaded. The Rafters were held quiet in the ninth as Rockford held on to their lead. The season series between Rockford and Wisconsin Rapids ends with a 4-4 split.

The loss goes to Hunter Robichaux (1-2, 3.78 ERA) his second of the season. The win was awarded to Logan DeWulf (1-0, 0.00 ERA) as he finished the top of the eighth. Tanner Propst (3-2, 3.38 ERA) earned the save with a scoreless ninth.

The Rafters have a quick turnaround as the team will head to Kalamazoo for a day/night doubleheader. First pitch for game one is 12:05 pm CT/1:05 pm ET while game two is set for 6:05 pm CT/7:05 pm ET.
