
Rox Batters Reach Base 14 Times in Game Two against Minot

ST. CLOUD, MN - The St. Cloud Rox (20-12) dropped game two against the Minot Hot Tots (7-23) with a 5-2 final score, Saturday, July 1st. In the Great Plains West division, the Rox sit among the top teams in the division.
The starting pitcher for St. Cloud was Cade Lommel. Lommel threw 4.1 no-hit innings in his 4thstart of the season, tallying a strikeout. The left-handed pitcher has a 3.48 ERA over 20.2 innings pitched this season.
John Nett reached base four times for St. Cloud, with three walks and a hit. Nett scored for St. Cloud in the first inning, his 18thrun scored this season. At the plate, Nett has drawn 22 walks to just eight strikeouts this season. Jackson Hauge had two hits and an RBI. Hauge has a .274 batting average and 20 RBI, both are top marks on the roster. Brady Prewitt continues to heat up at the dish, with two hits and an RBI. He has a hit in each of his last three starts.
Brandon Jaenke was the first arm out of the bullpen, throwing 2.2 innings in his 8thappearance of the year. Jaenke has 22 strikeouts over 15.0 innings pitched this season. Tyler Hemmesch had another solid outing, with a strikeout in 1.0 inning of work. Alex Ramos was the final arm for St. Cloud, tallying two strikeouts over 2.0 innings of work.

The Rox head on the road for a two-game series against the Waterloo Bucks, with a 2:35 pm first pitch for game one of the series on Sunday, July 2nd. The Rox return home on July 5thfor a 6:35 first pitch against the Duluth Huskies. It will also be "Bark in the Park" Night! Not only do your Rox take on the Huskies from Duluth, but you can bring your husky to the game or whatever type of dog you have.
