Roughnecks Roster Ready for 2011

Calgary Roughnecks News Release
CALGARY- From the initial 35 players at training camp, the coaches and general managers have the roster sized down to the NLL required 23 man roster and three to the practice roster. The Roughnecks new roster will suit up together for the first time at their home opener on January 8th against the Buffalo Bandits.
Head coach Dave Pym simply states, "We are ready to go about our business and bet on ourselves." The Roughnecks are putting their draft choices to work this year with four out of the seven selections on the active roster, plus keeping one as a practice player. Curtis Dickson, Brandon Ivey, and Derek Hopcroft will be on the offence, Dan MacRae on defence, and Jordon Sealock is on the practice player list.
Earlier this week the Roughnecks released Greg Hinman, Greg Hallett, Nic Bilic, Joe Vetere, Alex Coutts, Jordan Sealock, Mark Sherman and Garret Werschke from the active roster.
In addition to the numerous new faces, the Roughnecks currently have decided to keep three goalies including Mike Poulin as the starter and then Curtis Palidwor and Kurtis Wagar.
