Colorado Mammoth News Release

DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth has announced that the team's active roster has been reduced to 23 players for the start of the 2011 season which begins on January 8 at Pepsi Center against the Washington Stealth.

The team began the week with 27 players on its active roster. To meet league regulations for roster size, the Mammoth has released forwards Jamie Floris, Connor Martin and Tyler Snyder and transition player Brad Richardson.

Forwards Dan Carey and Jed Prossner remain on the Physically Unable to Perform List, and are now joined by goaltender Chris Levis. With medical clearance, players can be removed from this list and added to the active roster at any time.

"The National Lacrosse League features more than 200 of the world's best lacrosse players," said Mammoth President and General Manager Steve Govett. "With ten teams in the league, the competition for a roster spot here with the Mammoth, and likely with the other nine teams in the NLL, was fierce. Ultimately, I believe that we have assembled a team with tremendous opportunity for success."

This off-season and training camp marked the first for Mammoth Head Coach Bob Hamley within the organization.

"I have studied a lot of game film," said Hamley. "I wholeheartedly believe that the guys we have in our locker room will be competitive and provide us with an opportunity to win night-in and night-out."
