Boston Blazers Announce 23-Man Roster for the 2011 NLL Season

Boston, MA (December 23, 2010) The Boston Blazers announced today the team's final 23-man roster for the 2011 season. The professional indoor lacrosse squad returns 13 members including team captain and the 2009 National Lacrosse League MVP Dan Dawson, All-Stars Anthony Cosmo and Mitch Belisle.

After finishing 2010 with an 8-8 record and making the playoffs for the second consecutive year, President and General Manager Doug Reffue spent the offseason accumulating new talent in an effort to bring Boston a championship in 2011. New members of the Blazers include Casey Powell, the 2010 NLL MVP and seven time All-Star, Josh Sanderson, the league leader in points last season, and Kyle Rubisch, a standout defenseman from Dowling College and the team's second overall draft pick in the 2010 entry draft.

Boston also features several local players including defenseman Jack Reid from the University of Massachusetts and faceoff specialist, John Ortolani from Billerica, MA and a graduate of Endicott College.

"We've set ourselves in a solid position both offensively and defensively this season with the addition of all all-stars like Casey, Josh, and young talent like Kyle," said Reffue. "We are looking forward to the 2011 season and bringing our fans the championship."
