Infielder Joel Campusano has been placed on the disabled list retroactive to 5/13/09 with an ankle sprain. He was hitting .276 with two homers and nine RBI this season.
Rome receives infielder Randy Gress from the Danville Braves roster. In 13 games with Myrtle Beach in 2009, Gress was hitting .135 with two RBI.
