
Roe named to All-Ironman Team

SAN JOSE, Calif. (May 26, 2005) â For the third consecutive year, San Jose WR/LB James Roe was tabbed as a member of the Arena Football League's All-Ironman team after another solid season on both offense and defense, the league announced today.
Roe (6-1, 198, Norfolk St.) finished the season as the top receiver in the league's most potent offense, hauling in 116 passesâa new team-recordâfor 1,440 yards and 30 touchdowns. Roe tied his career-high in receiving yards, which matches the second-highest total in team history, and fell just 24 yards shy of tying the team record. His 30 touchdowns are tied for third-most in team history.
Roe also ranked in the top 10 in the league in receptions, receiving yards, TD receptions and receiving yards per game (90.0).
The five-year AFL veteran started all 16 games for San Jose and contributed 24.5 tackles, two tackles for a loss, two pass breakups and an interception on defense.
San Jose's upcoming opponent in the first-round of the playoffs, the Colorado Crush, led all AFL teams with three selections, while the Dallas Desperados were the only other team with multiple selections with two.
The U.S. Army Ironman of the Year will be announced on Thursday, June 9. Following is the complete list of the 2005 U.S. Army All-Ironman team:
