Rockies Top Catching Prospect Tom Murphy Joins Isotopes

The Colorado Rockies top catching prospect Tom Murphy joined the Albuquerque Isotopes this afternoon from Double-A New Britain. In a corresponding move, catcher Abel Baker was placed on the temporarily inactive list.
MLB.com lists Murphy as the Rockies' No. 7 overall prospect and the top prospect behind the dish. He was a third-round draft pick out of the University of Buffalo in 2012.
