Rockford Assigns Chyzyk to Indy

INDIANAPOLIS - The American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs announced Saturday morning that they have assigned forward Bryn Chyzyk to the ECHL's Indy Fuel. The rookie forward is expected to arrive in time for the Fuel's game against the two-time defending Kelly Cup Champion Allen Americans Saturday night at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

Chyzyk, 23, made his professional debut on Oct. 15 with Rockford in a 3-1 loss to the Cleveland Monsters. The 6-foot, 181-pound rookie forward has appeared in two games for the IceHogs this season, after signing an AHL deal on August 4.

Chyzyk is coming off a successful collegiate tenure at the University of North Dakota, capped off with an NCAA championship in 2015-16. The native of Virden, Manitoba recorded career highs in games played (42), points (22), goals (12) and assists (10) during his senior year, where he served as an assistant captain.
