Rock Cats Release 2015 Schedule

New Britain Rock Cats News Release


New Britain, CT- The New Britain Rock Cats Baseball Club, the Double-A Eastern League Affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, has released its 2015 schedule, one which will see the franchise commence its 20th season in New Britain Stadium and 33rd overall in the state of Connecticut. Moreover, when the 2015 Season begins next April, the New Britain franchise will extend its run as the Nutmeg State's oldest continuously-operating professional sports franchise.

The Rock Cats will once again play a 142-game Eastern League schedule, with 71 of those contests being played at easily accessible New Britain Stadium starting with the Home Opener on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 6:35 PM against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto-AL). New Britain will open the season on the road, April 9 at New Hampshire. The Rock Cats will once again host games against the popular Red Sox, Yankees and Mets minor league affiliates. Promotions and giveaways will be announced at a later date.

The Red Sox affiliate, Portland Sea Dogs will visit the Hardware City for three different series and a total of 11 games (April 20-22; May 14-17; August 27-30). The Yankees farm club, Trenton Thunder is in town for one 3-game series, August 11-13. Meanwhile, the Mets prospects will play in New Britain for two series and 6 games (July 20-22 & August 14-16). The Rock Cats will host an entire New York themed homestand against the Yankees and Mets affiliates, August 11-16.
