Parmelee started off a three-run fifth inning by lining a double to right field. Eric Surkamp retired the next two batters before he hit Jair Fernandez with a pitch. The Flying Squirrels turned to reliever Hector Correa. Deibinson Romero greeted Correa with a single to left that plated Parmelee.
