WOR-RYING ABOUT YESTERDAY: The Red Wings fell 6-5 to Worcester after a 10th-inning rally came up short...RHP Cade Cavalli went three innings, allowing three runs on three hits in his first start since June 16...the Wings are now 4-2 in extra-inning games and 15-8 in one-run games...designated hitter Donovan Casey led all Wings hitters, going 2-for-3 with a double, RBI, and a walk...catcher Taylor Gushue and left fielder Andrew Stevenson added with a pair of singles of their own...a pair of southpaws will face off today in a game which marks the half-way point of the year for the Red Wings...rehabbing LHP Josh Rogers will face off against Worcester's LHP Chris Murphy in game no. 75.

K-ADE DAY: RHP Cade Cavalli went three innings, allowing a run on three hits while striking out five Woo Sox batters in yesterday's loss...Cavalli's three innings pitched were his second-fewest in an outing this year...with five strikeouts in three innings, the Nationals' top pitching prospect is averaging 9.1 K/9, leading all Wings with at least forty innings pitched.

LIPKA IS LIVE: After scoring twice in last night's game, outfielder Matt Lipka has crossed home plate eight times in his last four games...his four-game scoring streak is his longest of the season...during Lipka's stretch, he has reached base safely 10 times in 19 plate appearances, recording six hits and four walks.

THERE ARE DUCKS OUT THERE!: Over their last 10 games, Rochester is tied for the second-fewest runs (35, T-2 w/ BUF) in all of Triple-A...the Nationals' top affiliate has hit the second-fewest home runs in all of Triple-A with just three in their last 10 games, five fewer than the next lowest total (8, TOL)...excluding a game where the Wings went 8-for-14 with runners in scoring position (6/23 vs. SYR), Rochester is batting just .207 (16-for-77) with ducks on the pond...the Wings are averaging just 3.5 runs and have a 3-7 record during their 10 game skid.

SIT IN THE TRUCK: Rochester's pitchers struck out 17 Woo Sox batters last night...over their last 10 games, the Red Wings lead Triple-A in the strikeout category with 118...yesterday, RHP Cade Cavalli (5), LHP Alberto Baldonado (4), RHP Curtis Taylor (2), RHP Patrick Murphy (3) and RHP Jordan Weems (2) all had multiple strikeouts...Baldonado's four strikeouts mark his season-high in the category as the Wings reliever has not had four strikeouts in an outing since August 17, 2021.

DONO-CAN: Last night, designated hitter Donovan Casey went 2-for-3 with a game-tying double in the bottom of the ninth inning...Casey now has a three-game hit streak since returning to the lineup...the 26-year-old is 5-for-10 with a double, an RBI, and a walk over that span.

THURSDAYS ARE FOR THE PLATES: Rochester will look to avoid losing the first three games of a series for just the second time this season (6/7 - 6/9 @ St Paul)...the Wings are 10-2 on Thursday this year (5-2 in a Plates uniform), their best record on any day this season...Rochester is also 16-10 in day games this year, which is tied for the most day-game wins in the International League...the Red Wings have won three straight Thursday day games.

ROGERS IN THE ROC: LHP Josh Rogers will make a Major League-Rehab start today in Rochester...the lefty pitched three innings and gave up two earned runs in a rehab start with the FCL-Nationals on June 25...Rogers made his first career start with the Red Wings in 2021 versus Worcester and went 5.2 innings while allowing just one run in a Rochester win...the 27-year old led all Wings starters with a 7-3 record and 3.70 ERA in 2021...Rogers has a 4.42 ERA (57 IP/28 ER) in 22 appearances with the Nationals.
