FEELING LOW IN LE-HIGH: The Rochester Red Wings are now 6-11 on the year against the IronPigs following their 9-1 rout in last night's contest...Wings' starter RHP Sterling Sharp went 5.2 innings and gave up five earned runs while striking out three Bacon-men...DH Josh Palacios went 3-for-4 with three singles in the Wings' loss...C Taylor Gushue went 1-for-4 and was responsible for the only run driven in by the Wings offense with his RBI single in the top 7th...RHP Matt Brill went scoreless in an inning of relief...Rochester will send RHP Logan Verrett to the mound as the Wings seek a series split in the finale today.

TAKE OUT THE 'E' IN GUSHUE: Catcher Taylor Gushue has allowed just two passed balls this season and none in his last 11 games...Gushue owns a 1.000 fielding % in 19 games behind the plate for the Wings this season...the 28-year-old went 1-for-4 with an RBI single at the plate in last night's loss...Gushue now has a hit in each of his last seven games and 8-of-his-last-9...the former Florida Gator has six RBI over that span and was the only Red Wing to drive in a run last night.

GO LONG: RHP Sterling Sharp went 5.2 innings and gave up five earned runs while striking out three...the Nationals' farm-hand went 4.2 scoreless innings after giving up three runs in the first...the righty has thrown for 5+ innings in four-of-his-last-five outings after throwing five innings just once in his first nine appearances this year, four of which came in relief...Sharp threw a season-high 99 pitches in the loss.

OFF-ENSE: Last night marked the 6th time the Red Wings had been held to one or fewer runs against the IronPigs this season...Rochester's offense averages just 3.9 runs per game versus Lehigh Valley (67 runs/17 games), their second-lowest average against an opponent this season (3.8 runs per game vs STP, 23 runs/6 games).

CAN'T STOP NOLLING: 2B Jake Noll extended his hit-streak to nine games with his 7th-inning base knock, now having reached base in 17-of-his-last 18 performances...since his hitting barrage began on June 19, the righty is batting .304 (21-for-69)...the Florida-man leads the team in home runs (3), doubles (6) and RBI (12) over the last 18 games.

PUSHING P(ALACIOS): OF Josh Palacios went 3-for-4 in the Wings' loss last night, scoring Rochester's sole run...the former Auburn Tiger extended his on-base streak to 18 games (since 6/19), which is the longest on-base streak this season among Wings hitters...the last Wing to eclipse a 16-game on-base streak was Adrian Sanchez last season (6/20-7/28/2021)...if Palacios reaches base in the next four games, the lefty will have the longest on-base streak by a Wing since Zander Wiel logged 22 games on the base paths in 2019 (8/11-9/2/2019)...the Brooklyn-native is slashing .289/.373/.443 (66-for-228) and has the fourth-most hits (66) on the club this season.

LICKITY SPLIT: RHP Logan Verrett will start for the Wings today in hopes of evening the series...Verrett owns a 6.59 ERA (8.2 IP/6 ER) against the IronPigs this season...the veteran will head to the mound seeking his fourth quality start of the season and his third in his last six starts.
