RHP Franklyn Kilome (1-2, 7.62) vs. RHP Peyton Battenfield (6-5, 3.31)

DEJA VU x 15: The Rochester Red Wings extended their franchise-record losing streak to 15 games after dropping last night's contest, 8-5, to Cleveland's top affiliate...RHP Jefry Rodriguez tossed 2.0 innings, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three in the process...LHP Francisco Perez, RHP Connor Sadzeck, RHP Tyler Clippard (ML-Rehab), LHP Carson Teel, and RHP Reed Garrett came on in relief and allowed five runs on seven hits while punching out five batters...CF Andrew Stevenson and 1B John Nogowski led the offense, earning Rochester's only multi-hit performances with Nogowski's two knocks being a double and a homerun...RF David Dahl, 3B Jake Alu, and DH Cole Freeman all contributed with one hit apiece...RHP Franklyn Kilome gets the nod for the Wings tonight as they look to snap their 15-game skid.

15-GAME WOES: During this 15-game skid, the Wings have been outscored 103-59, including being shut out three separate times...the Wings have tied or outhit their opponent in seven of the 15 games...

Five losses have been of the one-run variety

Eight losses have come with at least a three-run margin

Just four games of the 15 games have featured the Wings holding a lead at any point

The Wings have grounded into a double play 14 times since the start of the skid and in four-straight games, their most consecutive games this season with a GIDP

RAKIN' & POKIN': CF Andrew Stevenson went 2-for-5 last night with an RBI, earning his 31st multi-hit performance of the season...this compares to his 29 one-hit efforts...the lefty has now logged 184 multi-hit performances in his professional career...after batting .177 (14-for-79) across 19 appearances in July, the former LSU Tiger is on a four-game hit-streak and is 4-for-15 (.267) in August.

THIS TRAIN RUNS ON COLE: CF Cole Freeman went 1-for-4 with a run and a stolen base last night...after going 12-straight games (6/26-7/26) with just one stolen base, Freeman has swiped three bags in his last four games...the former LSU Tiger has a hit in four-of-his-last six games and is batting .438 (7-for-16) since returning from the All-Star break.

JOHN NUKE-GOWSKI: 1B John Nogowski went 2-for-4 with a home run, double, three RBI and a run in Columbus last night...Nogowski's blast was his third of the season and his first since 5/15 (w/ GWN), having played in 16 games since then...in his first three games with the Wings, Nogowski now has three consecutive multi-hit games, something he hasn't achieved since July of last year (7/7-7/10/2021).

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME-RUNS: Rochester broke their longest home run drought (five games) of the season with 1B John Nogowski's two-run blast last night...after last night's loss, Rochester moves to 38-18 in games they've homered in...coming into the month of June, the Wings were an impressive 28-3 when they homered...since then, Rochester is just 10-15 when they blast a homer.

I GET THE BAG: CF Andrew Stevenson and DH Cole Freeman both logged a stolen base in last night's loss, marking the first time the Wings have had multiple stolen bases in a game since 7/28 (six games)...Rochester has swiped a total of 103 bases this season which has been split up between 31 multi-SB games compared to their 24 contests where they've stolen just one bag...additionally, they've failed to log a stolen base in 48 games.

The Wings hold a stolen base success rate of 82%, being caught just 23 times, which ranks fifth best in the International League despite ranking 7th in total stolen bases (103).

DOUBLE TROUBLE: The Wings' nine doubles through the first four games of this series in Columbus is the most they've had in a series since their most recent trip to Lehigh Valley (7/4-10), when they collected 15 in the six-game series, including two five-double games...led by Andrew Stevenson and Jake Noll, who each have 25 two-baggers, Rochester has hit 177 doubles this season, ranking 10th in the International League.

KIL THE STREAK: RHP Franklyn Kilome will toe the rubber in game five of the six-game set against Columbus...in his previous outing, which came against Scranton/WB, the righty pitched 4.1 innings, allowing seven earned runs on seven hits and three walks, while striking out six batters...in his last two starts (7.1 IP) he has accumulated 12 punch outs, good for a K/9 of 14.73.
