MOOSIC, PA - Playing in the penultimate game of this six-game series, the Buffalo Bisons fell to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders 5-1 on Saturday night from PNC Park.

The Herd got off to a good start, scoring a run in the top of the first when Nathan Lukes came home on an RBI single by L.J. Talley, but would give up the lead in the bottom half when Tyler Wade cashed in Estevan Florial with an RBI double. Wade then scored on an error by Logan Warmoth to give the RailRiders an early lead.

Making the start for the Bisons was Casey Lawrence, who battled through five innings while giving up four runs (three earned) off six hits with a walk and two K's. The final two runs he gave up came off a two-run homer by Michael Beltre in the fourth, his first Triple-A longball of the year.

Tayler Saucedo followed Lawrence and had yet another scoreless inning of work, lowering his ERA to 0.66 over 14.2 innings with the Bisons. Matt Peacock entered in the seventh and gave up an RBI double to Miguel Andújar to make it 5-1, before Matt Gage had a 1-2-3 eighth.

The offence was once again thwarted by Scranton pitching, however, as the Herd mustered just two hits from the second inning on, at one point recording 11 straight outs starting in the fifth before an eighth-inning walk by Vinny Capra ended that.

The Bisons and RailRiders will cap off their series tomorrow afternoon, with first pitch set for 1:05 p.m. EST.
