Gwinnett, GA: The Road Warriors claimed the top spot in the South Division win a 4-1 win over the Gwinnett Gladiators.
The scoring began just 12 seconds in as Levi Nelson scored his 13th of year beating Louis Domingue on his stick side. 6:43 seconds later, Marc-Olivier Vallerand continued the pressure with another goal as he entered the zone with a quick wrister. Vallerand's shot beat Domingue glove high for his 13th of the year. Bretton Cameron also scored for his fifth straight game, tying his personal record, 5:01 later. Cameron scored his 12th of the year as he deflected a Jyri Niemi slap shot for a 3-0 Greenville lead.
The second period was more balanced but Greenville took a commanding 4-0 lead at 11:56 with a tally from Jeremy Gouchie. Mike Marcou treaded a needle with a pass through the neutral zone to Gouchie for a breakaway goal. Gouchie passed his goal total from last year with his seventh of the year. Sacha Guimond scored the lone goal for the Galdiators with his eighth of the year just 1:01 after Gouchie's goal. Guimond's score was with the man advantage as he now leads defensemen in points and power play goals.
The third period brought no goals and the Road Warriors' defense locked up the Gladiators and only allowed five shots. Nathan Lieuwen received the first star of the game with his 24 save performance. Domingue took the loss with 20 saves. Nelson was the game's second star and Cameron was the third star.
