Ontario Reign News Release

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign (29-10-1-2), defending Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, earned their 15th straight win over the Bakersfield Condors (12-28-1-2) Monday afternoon before a home crowd of 6,734.

The Reign didn't break the stalemate until the third period, one of the longest droughts the team has seen this season. At the 5:05 mark the Reign had control of the puck in the Condors end Brodie Sheahan picked up a rebound and flicked the puck over Scott Greenham's pads on his backhand. Chris Huxley and Mario Lamoureux both extended their point streaks to three and two games respectively with an assist apiece.

With just seven seconds left on the clock, Bakersfield's Peter Boyd deflected a Condors shot past JF Berube to tie the game and send it into overtime. The Reign controlled the puck through the extra frame with three shots and with 44 seconds remaining Colton Yellow Horn scored his 10th game winning goal of the season with a wrist shot from the inside of the right circle. Kyle Kraemer and Brock Sheahan set up the play for Yellow Horn moving the puck quickly around the Condors defense while on the power play.

Berube earned his third straight win stopping 16 of 17 shots, and Greenham took the loss stopping 33 of 35 shots.
