Lineups Announced for ECHL All-Star Skills Competition

PRINCETON, N.J. -The ECHL All-Stars and Colorado Eagles will take the ice at Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colo. on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. MT for the ECHL All-Star Skills Competition presented by CCM and OtterBox .

The 2013 ECHL All-Star Game presented by University of Colorado Health, featuring the Colorado Eagles taking on the ECHL All-Stars is Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. MT.

Both events will be broadcast live online free of charge through America ONE Sports, the "Official Broadband & Mobile Broadcaster" of the ECHL."

Lineups for the skills events are subject to change.

Competing in the University of Colorado Health Team Skills Course for the ECHL All-Stars will be Bakersfield's Francis Verreault, Dustin Gazley of Elmira, Casey Pierro-Zabotel of Gwinnett, Idaho's Austin Fyten, Chris Francis of Las Vegas, Ontario's C.J. Stretch, Willie Coetzee of Toledo and Utah's Mitch Wahl . The goaltender for the Team Skills Course is Ryan Zapolski of South Carolina. The Eagles participants are Arthur Bidwill, Matt Strueby, Kevin Ulanski, Isaac Smeltzer, Steve Haddon, Michael Forney, Ray Kaunisto, Jason Beatty and Trent Daavettila while the goaltender will be Adam Brown .

In The City of Loveland Accuracy Shooting Competition, the shooters for the ECHL All-Stars will be Dustin Gazley of Elmira, Dean Ouellet of San Francisco and Andrew Hotham of Wheeling while the passers will be Cincinnati's Taylor Ellington, Fort Wayne's Daniel Maggio, Stockton's Justin Maylan and Ontario's Chris Huxley . The shooters for the Colorado Eagles will be Michael Forney, Kevin Ulanski and Joey Sides while the passers will be Trent Daavettila and Steve Haddon . The individual record for most targets hit is 4 of 4 by Ryan Kinasewich of Utah in 2010 and Ash Goldie of Victoria in 2008 while the team record is 11 of 18 by the National Conference in 2010.

Competing in the Sher-Wood Hockey Rapid Fire competition, shooting for the ECHL All-Stars will be Evansville's Nathan Moon, Greenville's Mike Marcou, Ontario's Chris Huxley and Utah's Mitch Wahl while the goaltenders will be Gwinnett's Mike Lee and Reading's Philipp Grubauer . Shooting for the Colorado Eagles will be Dylan Hood, Kevin Ulanski, Michael Forney and Joey Sides while the goaltenders will be Adam Brown and Kyle Jones . The individual record for most saves is 10 of 10 by Ryan MacDonald of Fresno in 2007, Dan Ellis of Idaho in 2004 and Brian Leitza of Baton Rouge in 2001 while the team record is 26 of 30 by the Western Conference in 2004.

The OtterBox Fastest Skater competition will feature ECHL All-Stars Mike Marcou of Greenville, C.J. Severyn of Orlando and Willie Coetzee of Toledo while Mike Lee of Gwinnett will compete in the goaltender's heat against Dylan Hood, A.J. Hau, Joey Sides and Kyle Jones (goaltender's heat). The ECHL record for fastest skater is 13.395 by Jeff Lazaro of New Orleans in 1998.

Competing in the CCM Hardest Shot competition for the ECHL All-Stars will be William Wrenn of Alaska, Taylor Ellington of Cinicnnati, Daniel Maggio of Fort Wayne and C.J. Stretch of Ontario against Isaac Smeltzer, Jason Beatty, Collin Bowman and Norm Ezekiel of the Colorado Eagles. The record for the hardest shot is 102.7 mph by Josh Godfrey of South Carolina in 2011 while the team record is 97.90 mph by the American Conference in 2010.

In The MeiGray Group Breakaway Relay for the ECHL All-Stars will be William Wrenn of Alaska, Francis Verreault of Bakersfield, Nathan Moon of Evansville, Casey Pierro-Zabotel of Gwinnett, Austin Fyten of Idaho, Chris Francis of Las Vegas, C.J. Severyn of Orlando, Dean Ouellet of San Francisco, Justin Maylan of Stockton and Andrew Hotham of Wheeling while the goaltenders will be Philipp Grubauer of Reading and Ryan Zapolski of South Carolina. Competing for the Colorado Eagles will be Trent Daavettila, Michael Forney, Dylan Hood, Collin Bowman, Steve Haddon, Ray Kaunisto, Joey Sides, Matt Strueby, A.J. Hau and Devin DiDiomete while the goaltenders will be Adam Brown and Kyle Jones . The record for most goals scored is eight by two teams, most recently by the National Conference in 2006, while the record for most team saves is 16 by the American Conference in 2007 and 2010 and the record for most individual saves is 6 of 6 by eight goaltenders, most recently by Patrick Killeen of Wheeling in 2011.

More than 50 players from the ECHL All-Star Game have gone on to play in the National Hockey League, including 39 since 2002 when the lineups began having players who coaches felt were prospects to move up to a higher level.

The sixth class will be inducted into the ECHL Hall of Fame on Jan. 23, 2013 during a luncheon ceremony presented by BFL Canada at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center, the official host hotel of the 2013 ECHL All-Star Game. Click here to download the ticket order form.
