Rewind:

Wednesday, DEVILS 6 vs. Senators 2

Justin Papineau scored twice for the Devils and added a pair of assists in a 6-2 victory over Binghamton on home ice. David Clarkson had 1g-2a and Aaron Voros notched a pair of helpers as well in the win. Jordan Parise stopped 37 shots for his fifth win of the season, and the Devils matched a season high with the six-goal output.

Friday, BRUINS 1 vs. Devils 0

Jordan Sigalet made 23 saves and his brother Jonathan scored the game's only goal in a 1-0 win by the Bruins in Providence. Jonathan Sigalet scored his seventh of the season on the power play late in the second period, proving to be all Providence needed in this second meeting in six days between the two Atlantic Division foes.

Saturday, Sound Tigers 3 vs. DEVILS 2, OT

Jeremy Colliton scored on a shorthanded breakaway at 1:26 of overtime to take a 3-2 win over the Devils Saturday night. Tuomas Pihlman and Petr Vrana scored goals for the Devils, with Vrana's coming at 9:00 of the third to force overtime. Lowell overcame 1-0 and 2-1 deficits to take a point in the overtime loss.

Sunday, Falcons 3 vs. DEVILS 1

The visiting Falcons drew first blood in the second period, despite a heavy shot advantage by the Devils through the first 40 minutes of the game. Barry Tallackson scored the only goal for Lowell, tying the game up with under seven minutes to play, but Springfield regained the lead just over two minutes later, and added an empty net goal for the win.

In the standings

The Devils have an overall record of 11-10-2-1, with 25 points in the standings. By taking three points over the week, the Devils have dropped to sixth in the Atlantic Division, but are only five points behind Portland for first place, and two points behind Providence for second place.

Coming Up

The Devils take to the road for their next five games, including three this week against the Springfield Falcons (7:05 p.m.) on Wednesday, Manchester Monarchs (7:35 p.m.) on Friday and the Hartford Wolf Pack (7:00 p.m.) on Saturday.

Lowell returns to home ice on Sunday, December 17th at 4:05 p.m. against the Providence Bruins. That game will feature a special giveaway for a trip for two to see the Boston Bruins take on the New Jersey Devils at the Continental Airlines Arena in New Jersey on Sunday, April 1st. ! ; The trip includes two tickets to the game, overnight accommodations the night before the game and round-trip limo service from Corporate Coach & Limousine to New Jersey.

After the game there will be a public skate on the Tsongas Arena ice, free for everyone in attendance, courtesy of Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union. A limited number of skates are available for use at no charge, or fans may bring their own to the game. Call the Devils at (978) 458-PUCK for tickets.

Around the Horns

C Justin Papineau has taken over the team lead in scoring with 19 points (7g-12a) on the season. His four-point night on Wednesday is a single-game high this season for the Devils.

D Dan McGillis had a team-high 10 shots on goal Wednesday night. The only players to play in every game this season for the Devils are two rookie defensemen: Mark Fraser and Andy Greene.

D Alex Brooks was returned on loan to Lowell on Sunday, from the New Jersey Devils. Brooks hasn't played for Lowell since October 21st, the fifth game of the season. He has played in 11 games for New Jersey on two separate stints this season, recording one assist. He has one assist in five AHL games this season.
