UPCOMING OPPONENTS

Friday, December 8 - Phantoms vs. Chicago, 7:05: The Chicago Wolves (Atlanta Thrashers) make their only trip of the season to the Wachovia Spectrum on Friday night. There's something in the water in Chicago, as their top three scorers - Jason Krog, Darren Haydar and Brett Sterling, respectively - are the top three scorers in the American Hockey League. Krog has 19 goals and 28 assists for 47 points in 22 games, while Haydar is 14-30-44 in 23 games and Sterling is 18-16-34 in 21 games. Chicago is atop the West Division standings at 16-6-1-0 for 33 points.

Saturday, December 9 - Phantoms at Syracuse, 7:30: The Phantoms travel to upstate New York to meet the Syracuse Crunch (Columbus Blue Jackets) in their only visit of the season. Syracuse is 6-15-0-1 for 13 points, which puts the club in sixth place in the North Division. One of those wins came against the Phantoms in the annual School Day Game on Nov. 15 by a 5-2 score.

PHANTOMS LAUNCH CALDER CUP JERSEY AUCTION

The Phantoms have started a holiday auction of some of the most interesting jerseys in the franchise's history. A set of 29 white jerseys from the 2004-05 Calder Cup championship season are now up for bids in The Phantoms Attic, the club's online eBay store. Jerseys from Mike Richards, Jeff Carter, Neil Little, Antero Niittymaki, and many more are available. The auction ends December 14 and can be accessed through the Phantoms website, www.phantomshockey.com .

SANTA SACKS HIT SHELVES

The 2006 Phantoms Santa Sacks are now available for your favorite hockey fan! For just $70, Santa Sacks include four tickets to a January Phantoms game and a special Phantoms stick signed by one of eight Phantoms alumni - Mike Richards, Jeff Carter, Antero Niitymaki, Ben Eager, Joni Pitkanen, Freddy Meyer, R.J. COTE JOINS FLYERS ASSEMBLY PROGRAM

On Thursday, Riley Cote will join the Phantoms/Flyers School Assembly Program on its visit to Laurel Springs Elementary School in Laurel Springs, NJ at 1:30 PM. Cote will be assisting Bob Kelly and Phlex in passing along the Flyers/Phantoms' formula for success - TEAM (Teamwork, Education, Attitude and Motivation).

PHANTOMS NOTABLES

Ryan Potulny played three games in three nights - Friday and Sunday for the Phantoms vs. Manitoba, and on Saturday for the Flyers against the Devils. He has goals in four out of his last five AHL games... The Phantoms have scored first in six consecutive games... Philadelphia's shorthanded goal against Manitoba was Manitoba's league-leading ninth against... The Phantoms were off Saturday night, one of just three off-Saturdays for the team this year. The club was off the day after opening night, 10-7, and is also off on Jan. 13 but is in Lowell... the Phantoms have made 60 roster moves so far this season since the opening-day roster was set on October 5. That's good for one transaction for every day of the season so far.

Both games this weekend can be heard live on WIP's internet audio stream at www.610WIP.com. Mike Thornton will have the call of Friday's home game with Chicago, and then travels to Syracuse to bring Saturday's game to the airwaves.
