DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars Director of Hockey Operations Scott White announced this morning that the Iowa Stars have signed Defenseman Colin Peters to a Professional Tryout Contract (PTO). This will be Peters' second stint with Iowa this season.
The 25-year-old Peters appeared in two games for Iowa in early November (Nov. 4 and Nov. 10). He was held scoreless in those two contests. In 16 games this season for Dallas/Iowa's ECHL affiliate, the Idaho Steelheads, the Eden Prairie, Minnesota native had one goal, five assists and 18 penalty minutes: 16(1/5/6)18.
Last season, he played in 30 games for the Houston Aeros, posting one assist and 26 penalty minutes. He also appeared in three games with the Pensacola Ice Pilots, recording two penalty minutes.
IOWA STARS INFO: The Stars will play the Wolves in Rosemont, Illinois on Tuesday, December 5th. They then return home to Wells Fargo Arena for a Tuesday, December 12th game against those same Wolves. On Tuesday the 12th, as part of Getaway Tuesdays, the Stars will be giving away a FREE roundtrip airfare for two to Las Vegas courtesy of Allegiant Air.
