
Wallace and Jensen join Penguins

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have recalled forward Tim Wallace from the Wheeling Nailers, it was announced on Tuesday. Additionally, left wing Joe Jensen has been reassigned by the Pittsburgh Penguins from Wheeling to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Wallace, 22, is fifth on the Nailers with 14 points (5+9) in 16 games. The 6-1, 180 pound native of Anchorage, Alaska made his American Hockey League debut in a 4-1 Penguins victory against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on October 14.
Wallace played four seasons at Notre Dame (CCHA), recording 59 points (25+34). He was signed by Wilkes-Barre/Scranton as a free agent on October 6, 2006.
Jensen, 23, is third on the Nailers with 19 points (6+13) in 17 games. The 5-11, 180 pound native of Maple Grove. Minnesota played four seasons at St. Cloud State (WCHA), recording 100 points (45+55) in 153 games.
Jensen was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the eighth round (232nd overall) of the 2003 Entry Draft.
The Penguins return to action on Friday night, when they take on the Hamilton Bulldogs on the road, and return home to face the Chicago Wolves on Saturday, December 9.
