Worcester Sharks News Release

Worcester Sharks General Manager Wayne Thomas announced today that goaltender Dimitri Patzold has been reassigned to the Sharks ECHL affiliate, Fresno Falcons.

Patzold has appeared in 10 games for Worcester and compiled a record of 4-2-1-3 and a goals-against-average of 3.85.

"All three goalies have played extremely well, but with Dimitri having missed the last six days of practice due to an upper respiratory infection, Fresno will give him an opportunity to play in some games right away," said Thomas.

The native of Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the fourth round, 107th overall of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
