CAMDEN, N.J. - The Camden Riversharks announced that they have signed pitchers Scott Gorgen and Andrew Battisto. The Riversharks have also announced the return of Valentino Pascucci.

Gorgen, a five-year veteran from the St. Louis Cardinals organization, joins the Riversharks with a career ERA of 3.54 through all levels of minor league play. Drafted in 2008 in the fourth round by St. Louis, Gorgen will join another former Cardinal, Ryan Kulik, in the starting rotation.

Andrew "A.J." Battisto joins the Riversharks after spending seven seasons in the Marlins organization. Battisto was used primarily as a relief pitcher and will try to earn a spot in the rotation anchored by his 3.65 career ERA over seven seasons.

Former New York Mets outfielder/1B Valentino Pascucci returns to the Riversharks after playing in Mexico for the first half of the 2013 season. Pascucci joins a lineup that will be able to utilize his power in the DH role or for spot starts at first base and the outfield.

"These signings give the Riversharks the best chance to succeed in the second half of the season," said Adam Lorber, General Manager and President of the Camden Riversharks. "We have added two pitchers that have proven that they are able to go deep into games with Gorgen and Battisto, and we have given our lineup some extra power with the addition of Pascucci."
