Rivermen to Host Reading on Thursday (Thanksgiving) & Friday

Peoria, Ill. (November 24, 2004) – The Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL will do battle with the Reading Royals in two straight home games on Thursday, November 25 (Thanksgiving) and Friday, November 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Carver Arena. It will be the second of eight meetings on the year between the clubs and the first at Carver Arena since Peoria was defeated by Reading in four games (3-1) in the Northern Division Finals last April.

On Thursday, November 25 (Thanksgiving), as part of the Rivermen "Stuff A Bus" promotion in association with Regent Broadcasting of Peoria, fans are encouraged to bring two canned goods to the Carver Arena Box Office to donate to the Peoria Friendship House. Those donating will receive a Half Price Upper Bowl ticket. On Friday, November 26, it is a Finally Friday, presented by 99X (WIXO 99.9 FM) and Insight Media. Fans are encouraged to bring a Sprite/Barq's Root Beer/Pibb Xtra can to the Carver Arena Box Office to receive a "Buy One, Get One Upper Bowl Ticket Free" offer. They are also encouraged to bring new or gently-used coats to be donated as part of the Salvation Army "Coats for Kids" Drive.
