JOHNSTOWN, PA (November 24, 2004) - Rick Kowalsky's overtime goal got the Trenton Titans back to their winning ways with a 2-1 victory over the Johnstown Chiefs in front of 1,929 at Cambria County War Memorial.
Joe Tallari gave the Chiefs the early go-ahead goal at 1:46 of the first period as he beat Chris Houle to the far post for his fourth of the season.
The Titans were able to tie it up in second period on Stephen Wood's first goal of the season when he put Mathieu Brunelle's rebound past David Currie.
After a scoreless third period, both teams went to overtime where Nick Deschenes was awarded a penalty shot when P.L. Courschesne threw his stick to prevent a breakaway.
Currie stopped the penalty shot, but the ensuing offensive zone face-off won by B.J Abel led to Kowalsky's overtime heroics.
Chris Houle turned away 30 shots to record his third win of the year. The second-year goaltender has yet to lose in regulation this season.
