Peoria Rivermen News Release
The Peoria Rivermen, in conjunction with CD Country 107.9 FM, have announced a new monthly radio show, "Rivermen RadioActive," that will begin this Tuesday at Generations Bar & Grill in Canton, Ill. The live show will take place from 7-8 p.m. and all fans are encouraged to attend.
The completely interactive show will be hosted by Rivermen radio voice Brendan Burke, Peoria Journal Star beat writer Dave Eminian, and Rivermen assistant coach Danny Brooks. The trio will take questions from the audience as well as fully integrate Twitter and Facebook into the show. Each show will feature different guests, including Rivermen players, who will field questions and join in on the lively conversation.
"We are truly excited to bring back a Rivermen radio show to the airwaves," said CD Country General Manager B.J. Stone. "This show will be a lot of fun for the fans to listen to but also to be a part of by coming out to Generations or over social media."
Questions can be asked by following Burke (@brendanmburke) or Eminian (@icetimecleve) on Twitter, by commenting on the Rivermen Facebook page (www.facebook.com/peoriarivermen) or emailing radio@rivermen.net.
"We will have plenty of things to talk about with this team throughout the year, but I really want the fans to drive this show and raise the topics that they want to talk about," said Burke of the interactive format. "It will make the show a whole lot of fun for us and for the fans."
