- Defenseman Matthew Corrente continued to provide offensive support during both contests this weekend. He had a goal at Binghamton and an assist against Hamilton, extending his point streak to three games. During the span, he has produced a goal and four assists and a plus-2 rating. Corrente has totaled six points (1g-5a) in the last five outings.
- Joe Whitney had the scoring touch this past weekend with two goals and an assist. He registered his first-career multi-point game with a goal and an assist at Binghamton on Friday and followed with a goal against Hamilton on Saturday. Whitney is tied for 12th in the AHL for points among rookies with seven (3g-4a). He is also tied for first on the team with Matt Anderson (3g-4a) and Matthew Corrente (2g-5a) for points.
- On Monday, New Jersey removed Martin Brodeur from injury reserve and returned Keith Kinkaid on loan to Albany. Kinkaid, who was recalled by the NHL Devils on Oct. 18, has a 1-2-0 record AHL record with a 2.62 goals-against average and a .895 save percentage.
- Albany had only one transaction this past week. The team signed right-winger Steve Bernier to a contract on Thursday. He appeared in both outings this weekend and had four shots on goal. Bernier spent last year with the Florida Panthers, posting 15 points (5g-10a) in 68 games. He has made four stops in the NHL, playing for San Jose ('05-'08), Buffalo ('08), Vancouver ('08-'10) and Florida. His career totals show 159 points (76g-83a) in 385 games. Last month, Bernier attended New Jersey's training camp on a tryout basis.
