Rivermen Announce Full 2012-13 Season Schedule

Peoria Rivermen News Release
The Peoria Rivermen and the American Hockey League announced today their 2012-13 regular season schedule. The 31st season of professional hockey in Peoria will begin on Oct. 12, when the Rivermen visit the Abbotsford Heat at 9:00 p.m. to kick off the new campaign.
Peoria will once again have a fan friendly schedule, for their seventh season in the AHL, which consists of 29 of their 38 home games being played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Rivermen fans will have an opportunity to see 13 of the 14 opponents in the Western Conference this season, with Rochester being the lone exception. The newest member of the Midwest Division, the Grand Rapids Griffins (Detroit Red Wings), will make their first appearance in Peoria on Nov. 10 and return four additional times throughout the season.
Milwaukee and Rockford will once again be Peoria's most common opponent as the Rivermen will face both teams 12 times each. Peoria will play Midwest Division foe Chicago 10 times and former Midwest Division member Charlotte eight times.
