Oklahoma City Barons News Release
Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons in conjunction with the American Hockey League released its 2012-13 schedule. The Barons open the 76-game season on the road October 12 against the Lake Erie Monsters. Oklahoma City's home opener is Friday, October 19 at the Cox Convention Center against the San Antonio Rampage at 7 p.m. The Barons round out their opening weekend with a 7 p.m. contest Saturday, October 20 against Lake Erie.
The Barons schedule features games against all 14 Western Conference opponents. Oklahoma City will play 44 of its 76 games against its South Division opponents, the Houston Aeros, San Antonio Rampage, Texas Stars and Charlotte Checkers. Other opponents include the Chicago Wolves, Peoria Rivermen, Rockford IceHogs, Grand Rapids Griffins, Lake Erie Monsters, Milwaukee Admirals, Toronto Marlies and Hamilton Bulldogs. Twenty-nine of the Barons 38 home games will be played on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Faceoff for games played Monday - Saturday will be 7 p.m. Sunday games will begin at 4 p.m. Faceoff for the Barons annual New Year's Eve game is 6 p.m. The Barons will play one School Day Game November 13 at 10:30 a.m. against the Toronto Marlies.
