RiverKings Tackle Thunder Tonight

SOUTHAVEN, MS --- Your Mississippi RiverKings are set to tackle the Wichita Thundred one more time in the 2009-2010 Central Hockey League regular season. Tonight's game at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven begins at 7:05 PM.

Tonight the RiverKings take on the Wichita Thunder, a team looking to make an imprint on the final lineup of the Ray Miron President's Cup playoffs, even if they can't be there themselves. In addition, a number of former RiverKings will make one last visit to the DeSoto Civic Center to meet their former teammates.

Mississippi is 25-21-7 for 57 points in the CHL Northern Conference standings, good for fourth place. Wichita is 8-39-4 for 20 points and last place in the conference standings.

The RiverKings feature the Down Syndrome Association of Memphis and the Mid-South tonight. In addition, the auction of Pink in the Rink night jerseys will take place after the game and there is a post-game skate taking place after the contest is completed.

Tomorrow night, Mississippi meets the Allen Americans in a 7:05 PM contest at the DeSoto Civic Center. Allen has qualified for the post-season and is currently in second place in the CHL Southern Conference standings.
