
RiverKings sign goalie, coaches show tonight

SAN ANGELO, TXThe Memphis RiverKings have announced the signing of goalie Tyson Gajda to a Standard Players Contract. The 23 year-old native of Westfield, Massachusetts played in one game this season with the Topeka Tarantulas and two with the Kansas City Outlaws of the U.H.L.
Gajda is a rookie who completed a four year college career at Division Three Oswego State University of New York last year . In his senior season, he appeared in 28 games posting a 17-7-3 record and a 3.01 Goals Against Average. In his one game with Topeka this season, he held Wichita to two goals in a 4-2 win on December 17. Gajda was 0-1 with a G.A.A. of 7.18 in his two appearances for Kansas City.
Memphis released one-game emergency goalie Brett Abel following their 8-0 win over Laredo on Saturday to make room for Gajda. The RiverKings were in need of a net-minder when J.F. Racine was recalled to St. Johns after the game on Friday.
Also, the RiverKings Coachs Show will air tonight due to the game tomrrow night at San Angelo. Tune in tonight at 5 oclock on Sports 56-WHBQ as Head Coach Mark Richards talks about the 8-0 defeat of Laredo on Saturday night, roster news, the upcoming schedule and more.
The RiverKings begin a three-game Texas swing tomorrow night at 7:05 with the San Angelo Saints. Games at Austin on Friday and Odessa on Saturday will follow.
