THE MATCH UP
The RiverKings and Killer Bees meet in the second of their three game inter-conference season series. The RiverKings edged the Bees 3-2 in the first meeting on November 25 at the DCC with the teams facing off again at the Dodge Arena on March 18.
The RiverKings will see their lengthy nine game road trip come to an end this weekend and are 3-4-0 on the trip so far. The Killer Bees have won their last two games, are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games and currently reside in fourth place in the CHL's Southeast Division 17 points behind division leader Laredo. If the season ended today, the Killer Bees would be the sixth seed in the Southern Conference playoffs. With Bossier-Shreveport winning in OT at Rocky Mountain last night, the RiverKings lead in the Northeast Division is down to two points. They can get it back to four with a win tonight as the Mudbugs are idle. The RiverKings are 7-2-0 all-time versus Rio Grande Valley, 3-2-0 at the Dodge Arena in Hidalgo, TX.
