Rockford RiverHawks News Release
LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks expect their one millionth fan in franchise history during this week's three-game series against the Lake Erie Crushers beginning on Thursday, June 16.
The lucky one millionth fan receives two free airlines tickets, courtesy of the Chicago Rockford International Airport. The tickets are good to any destination the Chicago Rockford International Airport services.
The RiverHawks estimate the one millionth fan will pass through the gates of Road Ranger Stadium Friday. Gates open at 6:05 p.m. Friday and first pitch against Lake Erie is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
"This year has already been special since it's our 10th season in the Stateline region, and the one millionth fan will surely add to the fun and excitement we have at Road Ranger Stadium all summer long," general manager Brad Sholes said.
The RiverHawks continue their three-game series at Windy City tonight and Wednesday, but return home for Thirsty Thursday. Thursday is $1 beer and soda night, sponsored by RBI's Bar and Grill and Miller Lite.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 19th season. Advertising and ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255. Fans can also visit www.rockfordriverhawks.com.
