Rockford RiverHawks News Release
LOVES PARK, Ill. - Carlos Luciano is back from the disabled list.
The Rockford RiverHawks activated the rookie infielder from the 14-day DL before Tuesday's game against Washington. Luciano went on the DL Aug. 10, retroactive to Aug. 7, because of a shoulder injury. He has not played since July 31. Luciano is hitting .361 with two home runs and 11 RBI in 25 games.
The RiverHawks also placed pitcher Kyle Lindquist on the suspended list so that the rookie can return to Marietta College to complete his degree. Lindquist was 0-1 with a 5.46 earned-run average in 11 appearances, two as a starter.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, an independent professional baseball league in its 20th season. Games are broadcast live on WNTA (100.5 FM). Advertising and season-ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255. Fans can also visit www.rockfordriverhawks.com.
