
RiverDogs open eight-game homestand Wednesday

CHARLESTON, SC - The Charleston RiverDogs continue their season with an eight-game homestand that begins on Wednesday, July 13, at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.
The RiverDogs open a four-game series with the defending South Atlantic League Champion Hickory Crawdads on Wednesday. Riley Park will host a three-day RiverDogs baseball camp for 9-14 year olds Wednesday through Friday. To register for the camp, call the RiverDogs at (843)-723-7241. The three-day camp is presented by Trident.
Thursday is another Thirsty Thursday at "The Joe" presented by Wild Wing Café and 95 SX as discounted beverages will be on tap all night. Thursday is also Fairway to Heaven Night as local golf pros will have the chance to hit golf balls and win prizes on the outfield of Riley Park.
Pyrotechnics light up the sky with a Friday Night Fireworks display presented by Sprint and WEZL 103.5 FM. It's also Harry Potter Night as Riley Park will be transformed into Hogwarts Castle for a night. There will be a Harry Potter look-a-like contest and the first place in line for the Harry Potter midnight madness release at Barnes and Noble in West Ashley will be given away. Friday night is also Dukes Mayonnaise/Piggly Wiggly Family Night.
The four-game set with Hickory concludes on July 16 with a Saturday Giveaway Night. The first 1,000 fans through the gates receive a Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park Snow Globe courtesy of Bayer, WTAT-TV and Cat Country 107.5 FM.
After the Crawdads leave town, the RiverDogs welcome the Asheville Tourists for four games. It will be the first and only meetings of the season between the two clubs. The series kicks off with a Bubba Gump Shrimp Company Family Sunday and the fourth Dog Day of the season where canines are welcome.
Monday is Dogs with a Cause Night at "The Joe" as the RiverDogs welcome the Children's Museum of the Lowcountry, which will be giving away 10 prize packs to fans. Monday night's game is sponsored by Coast 92.5 FM.
As is the case every Tuesday at Riley Park, July 19 is Two for Tuesday presented by Harris Teeter, 96 WAVE, Northwoods and Citadel Malls as fans can receive two admissions for the price of one. It's also Cliché Night as the RiverDogs "take it one game at a time" to celebrate the best baseball clichés.
The homestand concludes with the annual Big Splash Day on Wednesday, July 20, presented by Smuckers and Sunny 96.9 FM. The game begins at 12 noon as fans can wear their bathing suits and cool off during another hot summer day.
