RiverDogs, Braves to Play Twinbill on September 1

CHARLESTON, SC - The South Atlantic League has announced that the Sept. 1 meeting between the Charleston RiverDogs and Rome Braves at State Mutual Stadium will now be a doubleheader featuring two seven-inning games.

Game 1 will begin at 6 p.m., with the second contest starting approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the first contest.

This came about due to the RiverDogs-Braves game in Rome on Aug. 21 being postponed due to rain. Since Charleston makes one final trip to Rome, the rainout will be made up to create a four-game series in three days between the Southern Division rivals.

Charleston continues a six-game homestand Friday beginning a three-game series against the Augusta GreenJackets, a San Francisco Giants affiliate. For ticket information, contact the RiverDogs box office at (843) 577-DOGS (3647).
