
Rain Washes Out Series Opener

EASTLAKE, OH - The first game of a three-game series between the Lakewood BlueClaws and the Lake County Captains on Friday has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up on Saturday, August 29th, as part of a doubleheader beginning at 6 pm.
The BlueClaws and Captains will play two seven-inning games on Saturday, marking the beginning to their final games ever against each other. The Captains will be leaving the South Atlantic League this year and joining the Midwest League. No word had been mentioned on the starters for the BlueClaws and Captains, but if the rotations hold, Matthew Way will oppose Danny Salazar in game one and Heitor Correa will face Trey Haley.
