Albany River Rats News Release

Albany N.Y. - The Albany River Rats announced today the introduction of two season-long promotions beginning with a pair of events at Pepsi Arena this week. For each Wednesday game throughout the 2005-06 regular season all children 12 and under will get a free ticket when accompanied by a paid adult, while Family Fun Fridays will see the return of the club's popular Family Four Package.

"We pride ourselves in providing the top family entertainment destination in the Capital District and each of these great offers enhances that claim," said Vice President of Communications & Marketing Jonathan Scherzer. "If you like hockey that's great. If you like the fun in the stands and on the concourse that's even better, but bringing all of those elements together for a great night out is the essence of our 'It's Not Just Hockey, It's a Rats Game' concept."

The Wednesday, November 2nd contest against the Springfield Falcons at 7:00pm will be the first of 11 Kids In Free Wednesdays. The offer is available to children that attend the game with an adult 18 and older that has purchased a regular price walk up ticket for any of the Wednesday home dates.

The Family Fun Friday allows fans the opportunity to purchase four game tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for only $44. The team has added to the package by offering a family portrait that will be taken at the game and available free of charge through the club's website at www.albanyriverrats.com .

Family Fun Fridays will also give fans the opportunity to win seating in an ice-level living room suite. The River 99.5 FM WRVE and Hack's Furniture have teamed up with the River Rats to offer a couch, special lighting, tables and a mini-refrigerator along with food and beverage to the lucky winners. This will occur at every Friday home game throughout the season.

The Albany River Rats, owned and operated by Capital District Sports Inc., are in their 13th American Hockey League campaign and serve as the National Hockey League affiliate of the New Jersey Devils.
