DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars Director of Hockey Operations Scott White announced today that the NHL's Dallas Stars have recalled right wing Junior Lessard from the American Hockey League (AHL) club.

Selected as the top college hockey player in 2004, the Hobey Baker Award, Junior Lessard has appeared in six games for the Iowa Stars this season, recording two goals, two assists and 12 penalty minutes: 6(2/2/4)12. He notched the game-winning goal on Sunday, October 16th in the Stars first-ever victory.

Lessard made his National Hockey League debut on Saturday, October 22nd in Dallas' 2-1 win over Calgary. The 6-0, 200 pound forward recorded a ‘plus 1' rating in his first NHL regular season action.

In 2004, he registered 63 points, including 32 goals in 45 games at the University of Minnesota-Duluth: 45(32/31/63). Last season with the Houston Aeros, he notched 11 goals and 11 assists: (11/11/22). He had two goals and two assists in six exhibition games with Dallas: 6(2/2/4).
