Missouri River Otters News Release

Barrie Moore's four-point game propelled the Missouri River Otters to a 4-3 victory against the Kansas City Outlaws Monday afternoon at the Kemper Arena. It was the River Otters eighth straight win.

The River Otters took it to Kansas City in the first period, scoring three goals. On the first, Moore took a terrific pass from George Cantrall, skated in on the left wing, and rifled a shot behind Outlaws goaltender Tim Knudsen. Moore wasn't done yet, as three minutes later he re-directed a Frank Littlejohn pass behind Knudsen on the power play. That line struck again in the period's final minute when Lars Pettersen deflected a pass from Moore into the net.

Mike Dombkiewicz's power-play goal early in the second period extended the River Otters lead to four goals, but the Outlaws came storming back. Two goals from Jason Ruff and one from George Davis made it a 4-3 game going into the final period.

Neither team scored in the third period, and the River Otters held on for the 4-3 victory. Kevin Reiter made 32 saves for the victory, while Gingras suffered the defeat despite allowing only one goal.

The River Otters host the Outlaws Wednesday night at the Family Arena. The puck drops at 7:05 PM CST, and all the action can be heard on KSLQ 104.5 and the B2 webcast at www.riverotters.com.
