
Rockford's momentum slows during week 19

For only the second time during the 2004-05 season, the Rockford IceHogs suffered a losing streak. Rockford loss three of four during Week 19, but look to rebound with a pair of home games Friday and Saturday, then a trip to Muskegon Sunday. Week 19 was highlighted by a pair of call-ups as winger Eric Labelle received his first career promotion when he was loaned to the Milwaukee Admirals and defenseman Nathan Lutz was re-called to the Chicago Wolves.

Transactions
-Defenseman Nathan Lutz was returned to Rockford from the Chicago Wolves (AHL) on Monday, February 14.
-Winger Jason Ralph was placed on the 7-Day Injured Reserve on Tuesday, February 15.
-Lutz was loaned to Chicago on Thursday, February 17.
-Winger Eric Labelle was loaned to the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) on Sunday, February 20.
Bacon Bits:
Winger J.F. Dufour has a point in five straight games. During his stretch, the Hogs leading scorer has 3g-4a-7pts.
Center Alex Kim had his IceHogs team season high six game assist streak come to an end on Saturday in Kansas City. Kim had seven helpers during the streak.
Rockford has lost four of their last five games, their worst stretch of the season.
The IceHogs gave up five goals in a period twice last week. On Wednesday Missouri lit the lamp a hand full of times in the second period while Kansas City did it in the third period on Saturday.
Eight of the IceHogs 17 losses this season have come by three or more goals.
Winger Eric Labelle became the eighth IceHogs player to be loaned to the American Hockey League when he was promoted to the Milwaukee Admirals on Sunday.
Center J.C. Ruid became the ninth player in IceHogs history to record 30 goals in a single season when he tallied on Wednesday in Missouri.
The IceHogs tied a franchise record for most wins in a season on Friday with their 35 win. The club previously accomplished the feat during the 2002-03 season.
After posting a record of 28-0-2 when scoring first, the Hogs lost their two next games after scoring the games first goal.
Hot Hog: Week 18
Winger J.F. Dufour: Rockford's leading scorer notched a point in each of the IceHogs four games during Week 19. Dufour had 3g-3a-6pts for Rockford and now has 63 points for the season.
Upcoming Games:
Friday, February 25 vs. Missouri River Otters. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.. The IceHogs battle the River Otters once again at the MetroCentre. It's the Hogs fans first glimpse at NHLers in the UHL when Ryan Johnson and Barrett Jackman pay a visit. It's also Christian Night with the IceHogs with the doors opening at 5:15 p.m. and motivational speaker Mike Donahue entertaining the crowd at 5:40 p.m.
Saturday, February 26 vs. Kansas City Outlaws. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. Rockford continues their stretch against the Outlaws, this time they meet at the MetroCentre.
Sunday, February 27 at Muskegon Fury. The IceHogs return to the road a three game road swing beginning in Muskegon, Michigan against the first place Muskegon Fury. It's the second of three game this season at the L.C. Walker Arena.

Budweiser HogTalk returns tonight at the Olympic Tavern. The show, hosted by WXRX's Jim Stone and Double T, runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. each Monday and features IceHogs Head Coach Steve Martinson. Also this week, Chris Gobert and Terry Harrison will be on hand talking Hogs hockey and meeting fans!
