River Otters Name Frank Buonomo General Manager

St. Charles, MO -- The Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League are proud to announce the hiring of Frank Buonomo as the team's general manager. The New Jersey-native has ten years of NHL experience, including positions with the St. Louis Blues, the Nashville Predators, and the New York Rangers.

"We are fortunate to have a guy like Frank join the Otter team," River Otters President and Governor Mike Shanahan Jr. said. "His experience with the Rangers, Predators, and Blues will be a great asset to our organization."

Prior to joining the River Otters, he served as the St. Louis Blues Director of Communications from 2001-04. He held the director of team services and media relations position for the Nashville Predators during that franchise's infancy stages from 1998-2001. Buonomo began his career in 1994 as the communications assistant for the New York Rangers.

"I am proud to join the River Otters organization," Buonomo said. "Mike Shanahan Jr. and the staff have done a tremendous job with all aspects of the hockey club and I look forward to this opportunity."
