RiverDogs Hymovitz picked for UHL All-Star Game

Richmond, VA - The Richmond RiverDogs of the United Hockey League will have one representative at the 2005 Pepsi UHL All-Star Classic. Forward David Hymovitz has been selected to play for Team Pepsi in the game on January 24 in Glens Falls, NY.

Hymovitz, a first year ‘Dog, has spent most of his career at the AHL/IHL level. He is the ‘Dogs leading scorer with 40 points in 39 games. Hymovitz, who enjoyed a stellar career at Boston College, spent all of last season with Binghamton of the AHL. He became the first ‘Dog to earn a AHL call-up when he was summoned to Binghamton for a game earlier this season.

The 2005 Pepsi UHL All-Star Classic Fan Balloting will begin today, Monday, January 10, 2005, exclusively on the official website of the United Hockey League. Online fan balloting at theuhl.com will end at 11:59 p.m. EST on Monday, January 17, 2005.

Saturday, January 15 is Pack the Pound Night with free t-shirts for all fans. Saturday, January 22 NASCAR driver and 2004 Rookie of the Year Kasey Kahne will be on hand. The ‘Dogs will wear racing themed jerseys autographed by Kahne that will be auctioned off following the game. There will also be a pre-game VIP party with Kahne.
