
Hogs pick up five of six points against divisional opponents

The Rockfod IceHogs picked up another two wins during Week 13 including a big win Saturday over the Danbury Trashers. The Hogs scored nine goals from eight different scorers. Rockford now will play the next seven games on the road spanning 20 days before returning home on January 28.

Transactions-Rockford defenseman Ryan Bonni was re-called back to Milwaukee (AHL) on Wednesday, January 5.
-The Hogs signed center Alex Kim on Thursday, January 6.
-Winger Jaisen Freeman was resigned on Friday, January 7.
-Center Brent Sullivan was activated from the 14-Day Injured Reserve on Friday, January 7.
-Winger Chris Gobert was activated from the 21-Day Injured Reserve on Saturday, January 8.
Bacon Bits:
The IceHogs will play the next seven games on the road, the longest road stretch of the season.
Saturday's game against Danbury was Rockford's first against the UHL's Eastern Division this season.
IceHogs goalie Michel Robinson is leading all UHL goalies with 39 penalty minutes, one goal, two assists and three points.
Center J.C. Ruid tied an IceHogs franchise record this week when he tallied goals in five-straight games. During his stretch, the Hogs captain scored seven goals.
The IceHogs have held their opponents scoreless on the power play in four-straight games, holding them to 0-12 overall.
Over the weekend Rockford received nine goals from eight different skaters. The only player with two tallies was Jason Ralph.
Two games in a row the IceHogs had 44 shots on goal, a team season high.
Rockford is 11-1-0 in the second game of back-to-back games.
Coming into the season, Rockford had held their opponents to one-goal 33 times in five seasons. So far this season, the Hogs have held their opponents to one-goal 12 times.
The Hogs have outscored the opposition 44-24 in the third period.
Hot Hog: Week 13
Center Terry Harrison: The Hogs winger led a balanced IceHogs scoring attack in Week 13 with a goal and three assists. Harrison chipped in two multi-point games in the two Rockford wins.
Upcoming Games:
Wednesday, January 12 at Missouri River Otters. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs open a season long seven-game homestand in Missouri. The game is the fourth of the season at the Family Arena and seventh overall between the Western Division rivals.
Friday, January 14 at Kansas City Outlaws. The puck drops at 7:35 p.m. Rockford makes their first ever trip tp Kansas City, Missouri to take on the Outlaws for the fourth time this season. The two clubs will match-up a total of 12 times this season and the marks the first of six at Kemper Arena.
Saturday, January 15 vs. Kansas City Outlaws: Start time is 1:05 p.m. The second of back-to-back games in Kansas City, Rockford tries to shoot down another Western Division rival.
