WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Shane Peterson went 5-for-5 as the River Cats rallied past the Tucson Padres, 11-5, on Saturday night in front of a sell-out crowd at Raley Field.

The win was Sacramento's ninth home win in a row - setting a new franchise record at Raley Field.

The T-Pads didn't waste any time getting on the board, scoring two runs in the first and third innings and one in the eighth, but the River Cats pieced together 18 hits over the course of the game on the shoulders of Peterson - who finished with four RBI and a run scored - while Anthony Aliotti went 4-for-4 with three RBI.

Sacramento first got on the board on a Peterson single and Aliotti drove in two runs in the bottom of the third. Peterson knocked in another run in the fourth, and then it was Aliotti's turn in the fifth to earn an RBI with a single to left field as the River Cats took the lead, 5-4.

Peterson singled in the sixth a sacrifice fly by Michael Taylor put the River Cats up 7-3. The River Cats completed the rally in the seventh and eighth innings on a Weeks double, a Barton sacrifice, a Peterson double, and a wild pitch as Sacramento downed Tucson, 11-5.

Lefty Brett Anderson struck out two and walked three in his first game with the River Cats as a part of his rehab assignment from the Oakland A's. He finished his two-inning appearance with two earned runs off three hits.

Arnold Leon took over in the third and gave up a two-run home run, before striking out six to earn his fourth win of the season. Reliever Evan Scribner struck out three in just under two innings of relief.

Lefty Tommy Milone (0-0, 1.74 ERA) will be on the mound Sunday night at 6:05 p.m. as he attempts to lead the River Cats to a win in game three of the five-game set against Tucson. He faces right-handed pitcher Brandon Kloess (3-5, 4.35) who is on the hill for the T-Pads.

The River Cats are back at Raley Field on Sunday, Aug. 18 looking for another win against the Tucson Padres in game two of the five-game homestand. Saturday night's game will feature Sutter Health Fireworks and Sunday's matchup will include a Mario Encarnacion bobblehead giveaway.
