River Cats Fans Have Rare Opportunity to Watch Televised Road Game

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif., July 23, 2010 - Sacramento River Cats fans will have the rare opportunity to watch the their home team on Saturday, July 24 from the comfort of their couch. The Tacoma Rainiers are televising the second game of the 4-game series beginning at 7:05 p.m. PDT. Locally, Comcast SportsNet California will be carrying the game, please check your local listings.

Once 12 1/2 games out of first place, the River Cats have clawed their way back to the top of the standings and are currently tied with Fresno for first place in the Pacific Coast League (PCL) Pacific South Division. The Comeback Cats are looking to build upon their four PCL titles and eight division titles as the pennant race heats up during the final month of the regular season.

The River Cats return to Raley Field beginning on July 27 after a two-week road stint. As the team gains ground in search of another PCL title, fans are encouraged to show their support during the July 27-August 3 homestand as the Cats take on the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Triple-A Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies) July 27-30 and the Las Vegas 51s (Triple-A Affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays) July 31-August 3.
